Toklu Design was founded in 1995 as a workshop doing metalwork for lighting. Today it both designs lighting and delivers that design with fixtures built entirely from its own tooling. There is no supplier, no subcontractor, no extra party in between — which means you always know where responsibility sits on a project.

How we got here
In 31 years we went from doing metalwork for lighting to manufacturing fixtures from our own tooling. Every step came out of what a project required.
Founded on metalwork
The company was founded by İbrahim Toklu, doing metalwork for lighting. It began not with the light itself, but with the metal that carries it.
Manufacturing scope widens
Over the years we did not stay with a single production technique; we widened our manufacturing scope in lighting. Following changing technology closely, we began developing products that are well-formed, energy-efficient and durable.
Moving to our own tooling
We stopped buying ready-made bodies and profiles. Today every product in the catalogue comes from tooling we designed ourselves — we set the dimension, the section and the mounting detail.
Corporate projects
In interior lighting we manufacture technical lighting of every kind, above all for retail stores, shopping centres, hospitals and hotels. BAÜ University, BAÜ Dental Hospital and the Bağdat Avenue Vodafone store are only three of them.
In Türkiye and abroad
With products made to European standards we take part in significant projects in Türkiye and abroad. Alongside a wide catalogue, we keep designing fixtures specifically for individual projects.

Not a principle, a habitWhoever runs the calculation makes the fixture
When one firm runs the lighting calculation and another builds the fixture, responsibility disappears: if the value is short on site, nobody can tell whether the calculation was wrong or the product came out different. We do both, so a project has a single address — the team guiding you through design and installation is the team manufacturing the fixture.
Every product is our own tooling
Every item in our wide catalogue comes from tooling we designed. We do not wait for a supplier to change a dimension; because we know how a product is made, we also know how it will behave on site.
If the standard doesn't fit, we change the dimension
The catalogue is wide, but architecture does not always sit on a standard size. When it doesn't, we design the fixture around the project — length, body, mounting detail. This is not an exception; it is part of the production plan.
The same team after delivery
Standing behind our products and staying with the client after the sale is our working philosophy. When a fixture needs service years later, the contact does not change; the team that built it is still here.
